"Is it correct, Geronda, for people to wear T-shirts with pictures of saints on them?”

"Is it correct, Geronda, for people to wear T-shirts with pictures of saints on them?”

If the picture is on a T-shirt or jacket, it is fine; it does not do any harm. It is certainly better than putting on a picture of the devil! But if they print the picture of a saint on their trousers, that is inappropriate; it’s impiety. Some pious people like this kind of thing (holy T-shirts). When the Patriarch Demetrios visited the United States, T-shirts had been made with pictures of him and the Church of Haghia Sophia in Constantinople.

“Was it out of piety that they did that?”

I would think so. Why else? They were Orthodox Christians after all, not jews or muslims! Some people have good sense and do things right, just like there are doctors who make good decisions and doctors that do not.

Do you use AI in your designs? Is AI used at all in this website?

Is AI used in designs? No, never. "The holy things are for the holy."

Is AI used otherwise? I use AI to generate alt-tags for images and occasionally for some other SEO-related tasks. Since AI is what is used to crawl websites for search engine rankings, I figure fight fire with fire. However, none of the writing on this website is AI-generated, ever.

Is your apparel made of cotton?

My t-shirts, tank tops, long sleeve shirts, and hooded long sleeve shirts are made of 100% Airlume combed cotton, which is a cotton knit renown for its softness, comfort, and durability.

The exceptions are the fabric blends as noted on each product page (all heather fabrics are a cotton/polyester blend).

Please choose your garment color carefully to ensure you are buying a 100% cotton apparel piece.

Additionally, the tote bags are made of 100% cotton canvas.

What is your returns & refunds policy?

IMPORTANT: Please note that refunds are accepted only in cases of a material defect with the merchandise. I am no longer able to accept returns on the basis of the wrong size or color having been ordered. (If you receive a size or garment color other than what you actually ordered, that counts as a material defect and that will be replaced or refunded.)

Refund/Replacement Procedure

To request a refund, please send an email to theophan@remembranceofdeath.org with the following information:

  1. your order number;
  2. a photo of the merchandise clearly displaying the material defect;
  3. and whether you would prefer a replacement or a refund.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused.

European Union 14 Day Cooling Off Period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of its delivery, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused. You’ll also need to provide the order number.
