Some brothers told of how they once went to visit some gerondas, and after the customary greetings and prayers they sat down to talk. And when they were about to depart after their talk, they asked if they could say a farewell prayer. One of the gerondas then asked them, "What? Have you not been praying?" "Yes," they replied, "but the prayers were said when we arrived. Since then we have been talking right up to this minute." And the geronda said, "Forgive me, brothers, but one of the brothers who has been sitting and talking with you has said a hundred and three prayers." Having said that he did say a prayer for them and let them go.
